Get ready for Me and Carrie Hitchcock as we romp through LETTICE AND LOVAGE with Renaissance Theatre Works coming soon!  Yeah, I’m Lettice.

Coming right up I get to hit the boards again at The Milwaukee Repertory Theatre as Mrs. Ethel Chauvenet in HARVEY by Mary Chase.  This will be a fun holiday season!

I had the great good fortune to be in a brand new play written by Henry Murray and directed by Shawn Douglass with Next Act Theatre Company called THREE VIEWS OF THE SAME OBJECT.  Besides the fact that it was a poinant, significant, appropriate piece of theatre to coincide with my life, I got to act with an All Star Cast.  Jim Pickering, John Kishline, Flora Coker, Jenny Wanasek, and Susan Sweeney.  What a wonderful, deeply fulfilling experience it wasl

Laurie has been offered more work with Idaho Shakespeare Festival and Great Lakes Theatre. Seems they like her work there! She will be in the incredible ensemble of SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET directed by Vicki Bussert and playing Queen Margaret (for the third time, mind you) in RICHARD III directed by Joe Hanreddy and then will reprise her roles in A CHRISTMAS CAROL to finish the year.

Next on my schedule will be Madame Arcati in BLITHE SPIRIT with Great Lakes Theatre in Cleveland. They like me there! I’ll also do MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING directed by Sharon Ott after that playing Antonia/Sexton. We will take these two shows to Idaho Shakespeare Festival in the Spring.

Guess who called? Harry Connick, Jr. Yup, he asked me to come out to the Pennsylvania Youth Theatre in Bethlehem, PA to help workshop and perform the final script of THE HAPPY ELF (music and lyrics by Harry Connick, Jr.) before it goes to the printing presses. It was only a week but a huge bit of fun!

Laurie has been offered the track of Mrs. Fezziwig/Cynthia/The Laundress in Great Lakes Theatres annual production of “A Xmas Carol”.
This will play in NOV/DEC until Dec. 23rd.

Back in Cleveland with our beautiful production of “A Winter’s Tale” directed by Jesse Berger. I’m playing PAULINA for the 3rd time in my career!

After a fabulous run of Romeo and Juliet in Cleveland and Boise, Laurie was cast as PAULINA in “A Winter’s Tale” with Idaho Shakespeare Festival to be followed with a 6 week run with Great Lakes Theatre in Cleveland. These two theatres are connected to each other. They trade shows back and forth all under the direction of Producing Artistic Director, Charles Fee. Jesse Berger is directing this beautiful show. Jesse is the Artistic Director of Red Bull Theatre in NYC.

Laurie was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical (Reverend Mother in Nunset Blvd) and the play itself was nominated for 5 awards (Best: Show, sound, lights, set,and costumes!) in the 3rd annual Andes Awards! (Subscriber Choice
Awards)for the Meadow Brook Theatre in Michigan.

“A Little Journey” by Rachel Crothers at The Mint Theatre in which Laurie played Mrs. Welch has been nominated for BEST REVIVAL for the NYC DRAMA DESK AWARDS!!!! Hooray!

JAN/FEB 2012:
Laurie just completed the official First National 10 week Tour of MISS ABIGAIL’S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING, AND MARRIAGE by Ken Davenport and Sarah Saltzberg with Gabriel Gutierez as Paco. Laurie originated the role of MISS ABIGAIL in 2010 with a reading at the Mint Theatre and then a full production in Tampa, FL at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts with Mauricio C. Perez as Paco. The show then came back to NYC Off-Broadway and starred Eve Plumb. It’s still playing at Sofia’s Downstairs Cabaret with Christine Pedi as Miss A but Laurie does pop in once in a while to play the show when Christine is out.

DEC/JAN 2011/12:
Laurie played the Reverand Mother again for Nunsense creator and director, Danny Goggin in NUNSET BLVD at the Meadow Brook Theatre outside of Detroit, MI. Oh, those silly nuns were at it again…
